North Canterbury Cycling Club is now using Hivepass for membership!
Becoming a member is super easy and it will only take a couple of minutes to sign up using your smart phone.
Here’s how it works:
1: Download Hivepass for free here: Hivepass
2: Open the app and enter your name and email address, set a password and select ‘Create Account' NOTE if already a member please enter email address used when joining club - this will transfer your membership and renewal will be required 01/09/25
3: Select your membership package. (If you’re signing up the whole family, have their details ready).
4: Enter your personal details and membership type. You can add a donation at this stage too if you like🤘
5: Pay securely using a credit or debit card
6: Just like that, you’re a member of North Canterbury Cycling Club and you can start enjoying all of the benefits that it brings.
Being a member means that you’re directly supporting your mountain bike community by contributing funds to help plan, build and maintain our trail network.
More members means a larger voice and a stronger stance when it comes to applying for funding and permissions from local authorities.
The app also provides access to trail information and direct, up to date communications about events, races, dig days and more!
Membership Types
- Individual $35.00 - For individuals over 16 years old
- Individual between 12 and 16 $10.00. Purchasing this confirms you have consent from the cardholder
- For individuals under 12 years old. Must be purchased with an Adult Membership
- Couple $45.00 - 2 family members living at the same address
- Family $55.00 - 3 or more family members living at the same address
What does your membership $$ go towards?
- Access to Ashley Forest- The club pays a fee to the Forest Managers for access for each club member
- Junior Development- We provide some financial support for junior rider so they can compete at the highest level of their sport.
- Track Development. The club has contributed financially to the upgrade of our local tracks in Ashley Forest, Rakahuri and the Wharfedale track in Oxford.
- Weekly emails let you know access to the forests and other important stuff
- 3rd Party limited liability insurance- if you burn down the forest or cause a logging truck to go awol, our insurance may cover you.
Membership expires 1 year from date of purchase. Members will receive a notification on Hivepass app at the end of the membership period to renew their membership.
Forest Permits are now incorporated with membership to members 12 years and over. Members younger than 12 must be accompanied by a person 16 or over.
As part of your membership, we request you attend one track maintenance morning per year. Not much to ask? The trails don't just happen to get there by themselves!
